For my new bloggie visitors. I'm Naomi! An almost-27-year-old single girl from central Pennsylvania. I work full-time. Own a little house that I call "Sunnyside Cottage" and share with 3 roomies. Lead a youth group and a worship team. Am an aspiring photographer, among other things...5:45 am. My alarm goes off... I'm trying to get back into the habit of a little more...
I like people.Which is a good thing, because this weekend was filled to the brim with people. Small people. Tall people. Young people. Old people. Happy people. Sad people. Family people. Friends people. All sorts of people.Rain forced my hand on Friday. Executive decision to change the youth event at the last minute. A house filled with rowdy teenagers and the savory smell of...

I hosted a family gathering on Saturday afternoon/evening... because Penn State was playing Minnesota. College football rocks. And Penn State won --- which made the evening much sweeter! But in the meantime, there was funny little nieces and a nephew running around (and around and around the kitchen island!). And lots of delicious food! Appetizers seemed appropriate, and I had a vague memory...
Changing wires and being confused with The Little Bro and The Tall Guy.“And these three buttons do… absolutely nothing. And this button also does… absolutely nothing!” – The Tall GuyPlaying “The Happy Song” faster and faster and faster… and then stopping completely to give the drummer (The Little Bro) a withering look. His only response was to smile mischievously and say “I wanted...
My weekend went something like this....I'm pretty sure that I have turned into the typical youth leader.. Giving rides to the youth, spending alot of time gathering up snack/scavenger hunt lists, shushing people so I can give directions and clutching my hot mocha while talking. Hahaha.... Non-typical youth leader stuff: I'm a girl. I tell stupid jokes. And I laugh at them myself....
My friends know... I have short-term memory loss. I don't remember ALOT of things. The Golden Girl just told me a whole story about how we had a conversation a few months ago and she told me random information about Pentecostal church history. I didn't really believe her (I guess-I don't remember). And then The Pastor confirmed the information in his sermon this...
I love to travel! And sometime in August and September, I visited Gettysburg twice.. just passin' through. :) See Gettysburg through my eyes. Monuments and dramatic clouds. Chancing upon a few Civil War re-enactors. The man who spoke words of freedom: Abraham Lincoln And so we contemplate life and death, war and peace, temporary and eternal.. Random travel delights, like a little early...
